It’s no secret that planning a wedding can be a stressful and expensive process. However, between a big, traditional wedding and a courthouse wedding, many people choose the former. What if we told you that there was an in-between option?
Planning a microwedding can be straightforward, affordable and still be the magical affair you’ve always dreamed of. Check out some of our tips from our team that can help you to make this mini ceremony feel like the wedding you’ve always wanted!
1. Figure out your budget
First things first, you will want to decide how much you want to spend on this event. Are you trying to throw the least expensive wedding possible, or do you want to splurge on the things that matter? Creating a budget for your wedding will help you to know how much you have to spend once you come up with a final number.
2. Decide on a guest list
One of the biggest differences between a microwedding and a more traditional one is the number of guests invited. A microwedding typically only consists of a maximum of 50 guests. Between you and your significant other, you can choose the most important friends and family to invite to your special day. A small and intimate affair with those who matter most to you!
3. Book a venue
Now that you have a guest list, you can more accurately pick a venue that will accommodate you and your guests! This is when you will want to decide if you want to hold your microwedding outdoors, if you want it to be a completely private affair and more. The Club at Indian Creek is great because it gives you the best of all your options. We have an outdoor portion and an indoor portion. Our wedding event management team can accommodate a smaller party with ease while creating a private and romantic atmosphere.
4. Pick what’s important to you
At its core, a wedding usually consists of food, music and alcohol. Add flowers, cake and decorations and your budget could quickly come crashing down. However, when you decide what’s most important to you, then you can start making cuts. If having a large bouquet is high on your list, then maybe decide to create a music playlist on your own and skip out on hiring a DJ.
5. Hire a photographer
No matter if you are having a more scaled back affair than you originally planned, you will still want to remember it for years to come. Hiring a photographer will help to ensure that you have beautiful memories that are preserved and can be enjoyed by you and posterity. Due to your smaller wedding size, you may even be able to create a custom package with your photographer to best fit your budget.
Here at The Club at Indian Creek, we love getting to celebrate your special day with you! Big or small, we are the perfect venue for your wedding! Contact us to get started.
